"Hi, I’m Daniel!

I’m a third-year Mechanical Engineering student in the Engineering Honors College at Rutgers University. I’ve worked at Mathnasium tutoring K–12 students, and I currently mentor fellow students in 3D modeling as a Team Lead in my university’s Drone Club.

I specialize in tutoring students from middle school through college, and I always aim to teach the way I wish I had been taught—emphasizing deep understanding over memorization. Growing up, math was often framed as something we’d "need someday," but studying engineering opened my eyes to how math explains the world around us and solves real problems.

My goal is to help students see math as more than a subject—it's a powerful tool for thinking. I focus on building both confidence and curiosity, so students not only improve their grades or test scores, but also stay engaged and motivated.

I scored a 790 on the SAT Math section and can guide students through effective test-taking strategies and problem-solving techniques. I tutor everything up to Algebra 2, and I teach the fundamentals of Calculus with insights from an engineering perspective. I tailor my approach to align with each student’s curriculum, helping them strengthen their understanding within the context of what they’re learning in school.
