"I’m a Deaf adult fluent in American Sign Language. I have 9 years of experience teaching in Deaf Education and teaching college-level ASL for an Interpreter Prep program. I bring a unique blend of formal teaching expertise and lived cultural experience to every lesson.

I grew up hard of hearing in South Texas, losing most of my remaining hearing at 35. I earned a Master's in Special Education. For nine years, I taught language-deprived deaf students and those with multiple disabilities. My experience has made me an empathetic and patient language teacher.

I try to make ASL learning clear, engaging, and rooted in Deaf culture. We won't just learn signs; we'll explore different aspects of visual communication, facial expressions, and the rich history of the Deaf community.
