"Hi!!! My name is Peter, and I am a Biochemistry major at the University of Arizona with a 3.5 GPA and multiple Dean’s List honors. My coursework includes general biology, general and organic chemistry, and college-level mathematics, which gives me a very strong foundation to tutor students in biology, chemistry, and math. I am also certified in Adult First Aid/CPR/AED and OSHA General Industry Safety, and I currently work in a cardiovascular research lab, where I apply these concepts and critical thinking skills every day.
I have experience teaching as a Math 120R preceptor at the University of Arizona, where I worked with college freshmen in a classroom and small-group setting. In this role, I helped lead discussions, explained problem-solving strategies, and supported students one-on-one as they worked through math concepts. I have also gained valuable communication and patience skills as a CVS pharmacy technician and customer associate, where I regularly explained information clearly and worked with people of all backgrounds. In addition, my hospital volunteer experience allowed me to assist patients and families in a supportive, one-on-one environment.
My tutoring style is friendly, structured, and adaptable to each student’s learning needs. I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple steps, checking for understanding, and building confidence as we go. I enjoy working with K-6, middle school, high school, and introductory college students, whether they need help with homework, exam preparation, or mastering core concepts. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can succeed, and I look forward to helping you reach your goals." less...
