"I have a bachelor's in Health Science and am in my last semester of my Master's in Public Health at University of West Florida. I have 5 years of experience teaching various high school math courses within the Florida public schools systems. These courses include Algebra 1, Geometry, Math for College Algebra, Liberal Arts Math.

I have taught in typical classroom settings of 25 or more students, one on one and in small groups for testing prep. My students ages range from 14-18 (high school age). I have taught advanced classes, remedial classes and inclusion classes.

My approach to tutoring, test prep and teaching includes an assessment of strengths and weaknesses and learning style preferences to determine the best route in delivering comprehensive and engaging lessons. I pinpoint weaknesses and guide students through mastering standards that have been troublesome. I also focus on math literacy as I have found this is one of the biggest barriers to math achievement.
