"Hi, I'm Haden! I have a Bachelors in Data Science and Neuroscience from Northeastern University. I've been passionate about teaching and helping youth since I was very young, and started tutoring elementary school students in math when I was just 13! Math has always been a strong subject of mine, and I always found teaching it to be very fun. I worked and volunteered as a tutor all throughout high school, most notably for the I Have a Dream Foundation from 2016 to 2018. This was an after school program where I helped elementary school students with their homework in a group setting. I built strong relationships with the kids, who loved doing their assignments with me, and I was awarded the Optimist International Youth Appreciation Award for exceptional community service with this organization. More recently, I volunteered as a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and worked as a Study Abroad Coordinator with freshmen in college in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

My tutoring philosophy comes down to building strong relationships with the students and making the learning process fun and enjoyable. I seek to incorporate games and challenges wherever I can, especially when it comes to younger kids. I try to really get to know the student, their interests and unique personalities, and incorporate this into their session. I'm extremely dedicated to creating a personalized and tailored approach for each student, and find a lot of joy in creating exciting and engaging lesson plans! I strongly believe in doing lots of practice problems and real-world examples rather than just teaching theory.

I'm also proudly bilingual (English and Spanish) and really enjoy working with bilingual students as well as helping students who only speak one language to learn a new one.
