I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and Global Security and Justice from the University of Virginia, where I focused primarily on sociolinguistics. Following my schooling, I worked for 13 months as an editorial assistant at a prestigious international think tank where I copyedited and proofread 30 reports that ranged from 1,500 to 27,000 words. I have also worked to copyedit and proofread for a science-based educational Instagram called Lowkey Science.

In terms of volunteer experience, I was part of McLean High School's writing center for one year, where I worked collaboratively with high school students to help them brainstorm, write, and edit their academic essays. I also volunteered through the International Rescue Committee to teach a refugee family professional and conversational English skills for two years through personalized 1-on-1 lessons that I created. These lessons focused on aspects such as pronoun usage and short story reading comprehension.

For the last three years, I have been turning my focus more toward graduate school applications and personal statements by assisting various individuals with their applications to Masters programs, PhD programs, grants, and fellowships.
