"As a current college student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at the University at Buffalo, I have developed a strong academic foundation in mathematics, economics, and analytical thinking. My educational background includes successful completion of advanced coursework in subjects such as algebra, geometry, statistics, and business-related disciplines. I graduated from Chaminade High School with honors and was inducted into the National Honor Society, where I also maintained a consistent presence on the Honor Roll. These academic achievements reflect my ability to master complex material and communicate it effectively.
My tutoring experience began in high school, where I served as a peer tutor for two years, specializing in math subjects including algebra and geometry. I worked both one-on-one and in small group sessions with students between the ages of 13 and 17, tailoring my approach to each student’s learning style. I focused on helping students build conceptual understanding and develop practical problem-solving skills, using a mix of step-by-step explanations, guided practice, and real-world examples. Additionally, I volunteered through the student-athlete leadership program, where I not only supported my peers academically but also mentored younger students on balancing school with extracurricular responsibilities. These experiences have equipped me with the patience, adaptability, and communication skills necessary to support a wide range of learners.
My goal as a tutor is to create a positive and productive environment where students feel confident tackling challenging material. Whether working in a structured classroom setting or informally supporting peers, I’ve always prioritized making learning accessible and engaging. I believe in encouraging growth through consistent feedback and celebrating progress, no matter how small." less...
