"I am a clinical educator and program director in the health sciences with 17+ years of patient-care experience and over 7 years of teaching and mentoring students. I hold a Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) in Clinical Education and a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology, and I am board-certified in radiation therapy (ARRT).

I have taught a wide range of learners:

• High school students in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and introductory physics/biology

• College students in anatomy & physiology, medical/radiation physics, and other pre-health courses

• Adult learners preparing for high-stakes board exams in the health sciences

My tutoring style is structured, calm, and very student-centered. I start by asking about your goals (pass a class, raise a grade, prepare for an exam, or rebuild foundations), then do a quick, informal diagnostic to see where you’re getting stuck. From there, I break topics into clear, manageable steps, model how to approach problems out loud, and then have you explain your own reasoning so I can catch gaps early.

In one-on-one sessions I focus on:

• Making sure you understand the “why,” not just memorizing formulas

• Using targeted practice that looks like your homework or exams

• Teaching simple test-taking strategies to reduce anxiety and improve accuracy

• Building confidence so you feel more independent each week
