"With a BA from Hampshire College in communications, I’ve taught SAT/ACT prep and various math concepts since 2018 in a classroom, privately and remotely. I’ve worked both independently and for some amazing California test prep companies. In addition to the paper ACT/SAT tests, I am currently teaching students the new digital SAT/PSAT format.

The age of my students has ranged from first grade through high school, but I specialize in students from 7th grade and higher. I am extremely patient and work well with all types of learners. I love simplifying seemingly complex math concepts into streamlined steps, and I love helping students improve their confidence in their own abilities.

With my own SAT scores in the 99th percentile (800 (perfect score) in math, 740 reading/writing), I'm extremely well-versed in the strategies, traps, and high-frequency problems found in all sections of both the SAT and ACT. I tailor my sessions to each student's needs, focusing on pacing/time management, problem identification/shortcuts, concepts, and reading/writing rules.
