"I specialize in the Digital SAT, with a focus on strategy, pacing, and understanding how the test actually works. My approach emphasizes efficiency, clarity, and repeatable decision-making rather than rote memorization or endless practice problems. This allows students to identify patterns and idea trees so they can quickly determine which portion of their knowledge kit applies to any given question.
I am a graduate of both the College of William and Mary (Economics major / Mathematics minor) and the University of Miami School of Law. This combination of disciplines gives me a well-rounded approach to both the Math and Reading / Writing sections of the exam, along with a strong foundation in logic and decision-making. I am also a FINRA-licensed securities representative and supervisor, most recently employed as a fixed income trader. I use this experience to help students focus on the areas of preparation—and in-exam decisions—that generate the highest return on investment for their time.
Tutoring is a role I pursue intentionally, because helping students gain confidence, clarity, and measurable score improvements is both intellectually engaging and personally fulfilling for me. The SAT rewards disciplined thinking, pattern recognition, and calm decision-making under time pressure—the same skills that defined my professional career—and I enjoy teaching students how to apply those skills effectively.
I was a 99th percentile scorer on my own SAT and look forward to sharing my methods for identifying score-limiting problem areas, making effective use of available tools, managing time efficiently, and avoiding simple, preventable errors." less...
