"I accept a limited number of students due to my clinic schedule. My evening availability is posted in my calendar. Established students may occasionally have additional scheduling flexibility based on consistency and progress.
I work as an Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner, specializing in OPAT and HIV Medicine. I have 8 years of bedside nursing experience as both a staff nurse and a travel nurse.
My Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree is from the University of South Carolina (August 2024). My Doctoral Scholarly Project focused on reducing C. diff infections on high-touch surfaces using hydrogen peroxide wipes.
I earned certifications as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), Medical-Surgical Nurse (CMSRN), Progressive Care Nurse (PCCN), and Wound Treatment Associate (WTA-C). These certifications strengthen my ability to teach both bedside-level to ADN/BSN RN students and provider-level clinical reasoning to MSN/DNP FNP students.
I tutor RN and FNP students in Foundations/Drug Calc, Physical Assessment, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Acute/Critical/Chronic Care, Mom/Baby/Pediatrics, and Public Health. I have a strong track record helping students pass the ANCC/AANP FNP exam using Leik’s Second & Fifth Edition and board-style test bank questions.
My approach uses pre-assessments to identify weak areas, targeted review with concept reinforcement, practice questions with rationales, and post-assessments to ensure retention and confidence.
I emphasize strong conceptual foundations, test-taking strategy, and real-world clinical application so students can succeed in nursing school and on boards." less...
