I have always been passionate about learning both inside and outside of the classroom. I hold a bachelor's degree in Information Technology and have worked 2 different positions as a data analyst and data scientist. So there is both formal education experience and real world technology experience to be passed along. My work involves training people for new technology both from a technical and a non-technical side, so I'm familiar with multiple different teaching methods. Plus I have plenty of technical skills such as robotics and, 3d printing, and chess that I have learned for my own benefit and would love to share my passion for.

I have been gifted in science and math since a very young age. I had to skip a grade so I wouldn't run out of advanced math courses before I left elementary school and I scored in the 99th percentile on the math and science portions of the SAT as the youngest in my class. As the oldest in my generation within a family with many cousins, I've always been good at working with kids and breaking down problems. I pride myself on breaking down the "why" of a subject, and I believe that having a strong foundational knowledge will lead to a less frustrating learning experience down the road. Especially when it comes to math and where so many kids get stuck memorizing formulas without being able to intuitively approach unknown problems. And a strong foundation is less likely to crumble when you move onto new math classes and have to stack on more knowledge.
