"I am a retired English teacher and teacher education professor. I enjoy teaching and love to work one-on-one with students. I'm not ready to be entirely out of the field of education, so I like to tutor. I particularly enjoy showing students that writing is not some mysterious skill that only some people can do. I believe that everyone can learn to say what they want to say on paper if they are taught to organize their thoughts.

I also enjoy showing students that literature and reading can be fun - not just a task required for school.
