"From the moment I began teaching biology, microbiology, environmental science, and chemistry, I realized that learning is never one-size-fits-all. Every student brings a unique set of strengths, questions, and goals—and my passion as a tutor is helping them discover what they are capable of. I have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and degrees in Chemistry and Healthcare and have over 20 years of combined experience in STEM education, program leadership, curriculum design, and real-world laboratory and research work, I’ve guided students from high school through graduate programs, including those preparing for nursing, pre-med, engineering, environmental science, and allied health careers. I specialize in making complex ideas feel approachable, relevant, and even exciting by connecting them to real examples from my work in biomedical engineering, microbiology, controlled-environment agriculture, and environmental systems.
