"I am a visual artist trained in drawing, photography, and ceramics, a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design. My work is diverse in medium, often public. I teach, as a traveling artist for the state, visiting artist at the University of North Carolina, K-12 at the Seattle Art Museum, ceramics at the fire arts facility Pratt in Seattle, teaching artist leadership training at Lincoln Center, NYC, and online with students across the country.

My teaching practice is focused on observation drawing, investigating how mark making creates form, value control creates space in two dimensions. Explore graphite, conté, colored pencils, watercolor, pen and ink. Learn how color works. Deepen your knowledge of contemporary art.

He walked away, then turned all the way around and came back to me to say, "Everyone here I talked to all day told me what to do to get into their schools. You are the only person who listened to what I had to say, where I am coming from, what I want to accomplish. Thank you."
Let's talk about where your starting point is, what you want to learn, and how I can help you. I am hands off your work, brain on for your questions." less...
