"I’m currently a third year dual-degree MD/PhD student at Albert Einstein College of Medicine with over five years of tutoring experience in science and pre-medical subjects. I entered medical school with a 512 MCAT and have now passed the USMLE1. During college, I worked as a tutor and teaching assistant in biology and neuroscience, supporting students one-on-one. Since starting medical school, I’ve continued to tutor for the MCAT, USMLE Step 1, and medical school application preparation, helping students at various stages of their journeys.

My tutoring style emphasizes not just content mastery but also the development of a growth mindset. As the first in my family to attend college, I understand how intimidating academic spaces can feel—and how empowering it is to gain confidence in your ability to grow. I believe that studying is not only about memorization or test performance but also about building self-worth and resilience. I work with students to recognize their progress, confront self-doubt, and develop strategies that honor their unique learning pace. Through my own path, I’ve come to appreciate that there’s no single way to succeed in higher education.

As a current PhD candidate in neuroscience, my research focuses on sleep and inhibitory circuits in sensory perception and arousal—work that has been published in journals such as Nature and Neural Development. My dual training as both a scientist and future physician informs my approach to teaching: so if you find like you always want to understand the logic behind scientific concepts, I am happy to guide you. I’m particularly passionate about mentorship for students navigating nontraditional paths into healthcare. As someone preparing for a career in neurology, I see tutoring as an extension of my commitment to education, clinical excellence, and inclusive scientific inquiry.

Whether you’re looking to build a strong science foundation, master Step 1 concepts, or polish your medical school personal statement, I’m here to support you." less...
