"I received my PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. I have experience tutoring at the college level in subjects ranging such as biology, chemistry, physics, and math, having completed all of these classes in my undergraduate with an A grade. My philosophy with tutoring is breaking down core concepts for each problem to make the knowledge learned applicable to any problem rather than to just the specific one at hand. I believe that by helping students develop these skills, they too can become independent learners.

As a biomedical engineer, math is at the very intersection of the work that I do everyday. As a result, I have a strong foundation in mathematic subjects from prealgebra to calculus to linear algebra, having received an A in all of these courses. Additionally, I scored a 36/36 on the ACT math section and a 168/170 on the GRE Math Sections. Ultimately, math comes down to following the rules to get to the answer, and as an experienced tutor I know that I can help guide students towards this success.

Chemistry is another aspect of biomedical engineering that is part of my work everyday. As a result, I have a strong foundation in chemistry, having received an A in the general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry series in my undergraduate. Additionally, I have scored an 780/800 on the SAT chemistry subject test, and a 35 on the ACT Science section. As a trained scientist, I believe it is my job to help the next generation of future scientists and tutoring is a great way to do so.
