My name is Connie, and as sometimes is the case, my path in life hasn't been the most straightforward. After I graduated in 2016 from Duke University with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, I spent my gap year teaching 9th + 10th grade Algebra in the Bronx, NY through an Americorps program. I then graduated from Brody School of Medicine in NC in 2021 with plans to complete an internal medicine residency and geriatrics fellowship. However, during my intern year of residency, I decided that a career in medicine was not right for me. Shortly afterwards, while navigating various life transitions, I opened Etsy and Teachers Pay Teachers stores geared towards older adults. They offer a variety of gratitude worksheets and vision board printables.

After moving to the Bay Area with my husband in August of 2023, I decided to go back to my love for tutoring. During high school and my gap year, I tutored students in middle school coursework, Algebra 1 + 2, chemistry, and SAT prep. Currently, I work with elementary, middle, and high school students on elementary school math, Pre-algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Precalculus. In addition, I provide feedback on the content and grammar of school essays and college or medical school application essays.

Starting in August of 2025, I will be in Fremont, CA, and will offer in-person tutoring at the local libraries as well as online tutoring. Also, my husband and I are expecting a little one in February of 2026, so I will likely cut back on tutoring around those months. However, I look forward to working with students during the fall semester and again starting in the summer of 2026.
