"Hi there! My name's Alli. I'm a recent Duke grad who is working at a startup. I love writing, reading, and helping students prepare for standardized tests and college applications. I've been tutoring since high school, and enjoy equipping students with the tools to succeed.

I received nearly perfect scores on the ACT and SAT (34 and 2240/2400, respectively), and overcame a learning disability - dyslexia - to do it. My early struggles with reading instilled in me both empathy for students who struggle in school and confidence that students can overcome challenges to achieve great things. With support and assistance, of course, which is why I tutor.

I provide ACT/SAT prep packages, as well as weekly tutoring for English and reading/writing. I also offer college application preparation. I'm an alumni interviewer for Duke, and volunteered at the Duke Admissions Office as a tour guide, so I have a lot of insight into the college application process.
