"My love of the French language began at an early age, and my time as an assistante d'anglais in Normandy set me on the path to teaching over 20 years ago. Working with students to help them improve their French proficiency is incredibly rewarding. I love teaching and mentoring students, and helping them grow both personally and academically.

I graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in French from the University of Washington, and earned my M.A.T. in French from Oregon State University with a 4.0. I have been a licensed teacher in Oregon since 2004. As a high school teacher, I have taught French 1 through AP French; my AP French students performed higher than both the state and national average. As a tutor, I have worked with elementary, middle, and high school students as well as adults.

My goal is to help students truly acquire the language, and I have extensive experience tailoring lessons to meet students’ individual needs. I believe that language learning should be enjoyable; former students will tell you that I am a creative, motivating, enthusiastic teacher who is dedicated to helping students succeed.
