"I am a Ph.D. candidate in the field of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago with a 4.0 g.p.a. As an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, I made the Dean's List. I have worked successfully with a very broad range of students in a variety of subjects including social sciences, English language learning, English Language Arts, and TOEFL/SAT/ACT test prep. As a licensed public school teacher for twenty years in Chicago and five in Miami I was always available to offer additional tutoring to my students. I also worked as an academic tutor in the City Colleges of Chicago for three years. I helped students make significant progress in their social science, humanities and English Language Learning courses. In addition, I have tutored students privately for over twenty years. My strategies for increasing verbal SAT scores have helped many of my students. I am extremely creative and energetic and I genuinely enjoy the challenge of helping learners master new concepts, develop their skills, and gain confidence in their abilities.
