"Jo graduated from University of North Texas in 1989 with a Bachelor's of Science in Education, and from East Texas State University in 1995 with a Master’s in Education. She teaches Take Flight as a Dyslexia Therapist, as well as conducting screening/assessment and progress monitoring. She's also a Certified Reading Specialist and has more than 20 years of teaching experience.

In her “other” life, Jo is a USA Today Bestselling Author of more than 30 books under two pseudonyms, is a professional editor for a list of bestselling authors, and had one book optioned as a major motion picture with Hollywood producer Cathy Schulman, winner of the 2006 Best Picture Oscar for Crash.
