My name is Lucia, and I am passionate about helping students grow as writers, readers, and critical thinkers. I am currently a history PhD candidate, and I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in History, along with an MFA in Creative Writing. Over the past four years, I have taught and supported students in a variety of settings: as an instructor of record and teaching assistant in creative writing, English composition, and history courses, and as a writing tutor at my university’s Writing Studio. In these roles, I have had the opportunity to work closely with both undergraduate and graduate students across a wide range of disciplines and writing needs.

My approach to tutoring is always student-centered. I am committed to meeting each student where they are and providing individualized support that empowers them to grow as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. I believe that every learner is unique, and I tailor my guidance to meet each student where they are. Whether you are working on an academic essay, developing a creative writing work including short stories, novels, non-fiction essays, or tackling a research paper and thesis statement, I aim to create a supportive and collaborative environment where you can build confidence, develop your voice, and produce works you can be proud of.
