"Hello, I'm Brandon and I'm a graduate from Lewis University with a Bachelor's in Finance. I've been tutoring both in person and online for close to 5 years now and have loved the job ever since I started. I find that having a proper teacher that can be friendly to students goes a long way in strengthening their skills to understand complex subjects. I will always try to make it easy for my students to learn in the best way possible with different strategies and have them pick whichever one they like the most. In lessons I like to go over the core material and see what they struggle on first. I will always make sure that each student gets enough time to attempt practice problems as well.

In high school I had a few math classes where the teacher wasn't the greatest, and so I took it upon myself to teach others if they needed help to succeed! Eventually that led to me applying for a tutoring job as a college student since the more conventional approach of getting a job in food or retail wasn't that enticing to me. I enjoy tutoring as I get to connect with students on a personal level to truly understand their needs and find out how to get them to properly learn subjects easily. Seeing students get excited about getting a higher grade on their test because of tutoring lessons motivates me to stay in this field since that feeling of finally understanding a subject is amazing! Most of my experience is tutoring high school students in ACT, SAT, or ASVAB prep, but I also have experience in other math subjects like Algebra 1 and 2. No matter what, my main motivation is to see that the student achieves their goal!
