"Private ELA tutor with over six years experience and IEP focus.

I have over six years experience as a certified teacher working for public and private schools, and I am expanding as a private ELA tutor. Currently, I tutor students from across the country and I have used strategies and plans based on Common Core standards as well as Texas State standards. Though I follow national and Texas State standards for education, I make it my goal to teach my students independent study and testing strategies, as well as guiding them to develop critical thought processes. I am also able to focus on your child's IEP goals effectively as I have experience as a Special Education teacher in Resource and Inclusions settings.

Examples of the writing lessons I have taught include a variety of narratives, creative writing strategies, developing college entrance essays, and structuring resumes with cover letters. My teaching background includes work with students with ASD, ADHD, and Emotional Disturbance as well as Dyslexia.
