"I was formally trained to be an English Teacher at the University of Pedagogy, Vietnam, where I got my Bachelor's degree in English. After graduation, I taught at a local college and tutored students of various ages in 4 years, then received a scholarship for further education abroad.

In the US, I obtained Master's and Doctoral degrees in Educational Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. This new field has equipped me with knowledge of and skills to work with learners of various ages and needs.

Currently, I am tutoring an international 10-grader and have seen measurable progresses in her English performances at school. I enjoy preparing learners for standardized English tests, such as TOELF and IELTS. When there is a specific need or goal, such as for History, Grammar, or an academic or a non-academic exam, I am willing to focus my instruction accordingly and tailor lessons to help the student succeed.
