"Hello and welcome to my page! I am currently a certified special education teacher with over 15 years experience working with special education and general education students of all ages. I work as a public school special education teacher in San Fernando Valley specializing grades pre-k thru 8th grade. As a public school educator, I have been trained in various academic and behavioral strategies.

When working with students, I customize instruction to adapt to each students learning needs. In addition, I work with students in their study habits, time management , organizational layout and follow their success! My strengths in teaching are Writing, Language Arts and Speech. I am able to teach Math from basic level to Pre-algebra. I have the ability to explain all subjects in various ways that reach the students comprehension level.

I have assisted students in resource class who struggle with math. I understand the struggles as I struggled when I was young child also. I have many techniques to assist in conveying the mathematical concepts for the struggling child.

I have tutored ESL elementary students to pass the CELDT test for state of California. I go back to basics to refresh their memories and update with new material to create connection in the English writing.

In addition, students will practice their reading fluency and write small paragraphs according to the readings.

I LOVE Special Education!!!! I am very patient and intuitive to EVERY child's needs. Familiar with IEP documents and behavior goals.
