"Hi, I'm Amy. I have over 10 years of experience teaching the flute to students of different ages. I have taught private students who passed the ABRSM Grade 1-8 flute exams, NYSSMA flute level 1-6 exam, and All state flute exam. One of my students even scored a 100/100 in the flute audition at the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. With my help, most of my students advanced in their school band.

I earned my Master of Music Degree under the well-known flutist Keith Underwood from New York University’s Steinhardt School in 2015. My accomplishments include performing as a principal flutist at an award ceremony for the former president of Taiwan, Ying Jeou Ma. I also earned the solo flute position in the musical titled “Crazy for You,” presented at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2015. On January 24, 2017, I was the solo flutist at the concert titled “Love of the Light” at Carnegie Hall. In April 2018, I was the second baroque flutist in the Saint Peter's baroque orchestra II, performing St. Matthew Passion.

I can teach you how to make a sound on the first lesson, as well as help you play a simple song after one month with frequent practice. I will help you play the flute effectively by correcting your posture, breathing, and playing efficiency.
