"I graduated Cum Lade from Alabama State University.

I have been privately tutoring since 1995 with grade levels K-12. My primary tutoring experience is in elementary math and Pre-Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 1 & 2. I taught as a substitute teacher in Oakland County, Michigan and recently completed the Substitute Teacher Training in Broward County at Broward College.

Some of my teaching techniques include but are not limited to helping student to memorize formulas and relate math concepts to everyday life scenarios.

I also provide additional services to parents which aids in the communication between teacher and parent.

My passion for tutoring stems from living in the heart of Detroit and experiencing the obstacles that today’s children face is what drives my support for education. I am a poster child for underprivileged youth and I succeeded by pursuing higher education. Without my community I would not be where I am today. Knowing I did not graduate alone is what motivates me to give back to up and coming students. That is why I want to be a part of the movement; where every child is given the opportunity to have an education and have educators who want them to succeed. I want to make sure the children growing up are equipped with the knowledge they need to succeed in America. A personal mission of my own is to get students to higher education, through higher education and beyond higher education. I want students to know what I did not know and in order to get students to higher education we have to start in the primary and secondary schools. Starting at the beginning will get us to success.
