"I am an energetic educator who has been teaching, coaching, training, and mentoring others most of my life. I went to college to be a high school English and Speech teacher. After graduating with honors, I taught middle and high school English and Speech and served as both a Speech Coach and judged National Forensics League high school Speech tournaments. Later my career transitioned to the business world (corporate business development and promoted to VP, Sales). I also spent 20 years in executive search, placing senior executives nationwide in two different industries.

My business success has, in part, been a result of utilizing my communication, writing, reading, public speaking, and listening skills - all skills I used daily as a high school teacher. I have also mentored, trained, coached, motivated, and helped other professionals along the way.

Most recently, I ran my own boutique executive search practice. Before Covid, I merged my firm with a larger company in the Washington, DC area. I decided to go back to my "teaching roots" and have built my own tutoring practice. My students are both middle and high school level, but I also work with adults who seek to improve their business communication skills and write resumes and LinkedIn profiles that generate interviews and key professional connections.
