"I am an energetic educator and successful businessperson who has been mentoring others and applying my writing and speaking skills most of my life. I attended college to be a high school English and Speech teacher. I taught both and served as a judge for high school Speech tournaments. Later, I transitioned to the business world (VP, Business Development for an IT start-up; VP, Sales). In addition, I was an executive recruiter for 22 years and ran my own retained search practice for five years.

Six years ago, I merged my search firm with a larger company and returned to my "teaching roots" to build my own national tutoring practice. Today, I work with middle, high school, college, graduate level, and adults who seek to improve their writing, interviewing, and public speaking skills. In addition, I teach professionals how to network. I also assist them to organize, write, and refine their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to generate key interviews and connections. In addition, I work with individuals to prepare for key speeches and presentations, and I assist students to write essays that accompany their college applications. In addition, I help students to be ready for interviews that are a part of their applications to private schools and other unique programs like internships, competitive summer experiences and camps, scholarships, and other unique opportunities.

I really enjoy tutoring and would love to help your student to improve writing and speaking skills and increase confidence in doing so. I give positive reinforcement and encouragement to my students, and I empower them to be more successful in their academic pursuits!
