"I am an enthusiastic professional with over fifteen years of experience in teaching, long term and day to day substitute teaching, and tutoring as well as an internship in school counseling. My teaching experience includes 1 semester at James Christian Academy implementing the Accelerated Christian Curriculum, 3 years of kindergarten, 2 years of 1st grade, 1 semester of 2nd grade, and 1 semester of K/lst combo in Compton Unified School District and Long Beach Unified School District. This includes teaching the subjects in the K-6 curriculum which includes reading, phonics, writing, math, social studies, history, and science. I was also one of the teachers who piloted the Open Court Language Arts Curriculum in Compton Unified School district. I was also teacher on Special Assignment while in this district. My duties included pulling students who needed extra help in language Arts and Math.
