"I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, where I graduated with honors and a 3.8 GPA, and a Master’s degree in Systems Architecting and Engineering from the University of Southern California. For the past eight years, I have worked as a Systems Engineer at a major aerospace company, where I apply advanced math and physics concepts to solve real-world problems. This hands-on technical background allows me to make math more understandable and relevant for my students.
I have been tutoring for several years, teaching primarily middle and high school students in Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Physics. I also specialize in SAT and ACT math preparation, helping students master key strategies for accuracy and time management. Most of my sessions are one-on-one, either in-person or online, allowing me to tailor each lesson to a student’s individual learning style and pace. I’ve also led small study groups for test prep and classroom reinforcement, helping students collaborate effectively while staying engaged.
What sets me apart from other tutors is my ability to connect classroom material to real-world applications. Drawing from my engineering background, I show students how math plays a role in everything from technology to aerospace, which often sparks genuine interest and motivation. My teaching style is patient, structured, and focused on building confidence. I take the time to identify areas of difficulty, explain concepts step-by-step, and ensure understanding before moving forward.
Many of my students have seen significant improvements in both performance and mindset — often shifting from frustration to genuine confidence in math. Whether your student needs consistent academic support or targeted test preparation, I am committed to helping them reach their full potential through clear instruction, encouragement, and real-world insight." less...
