"I'm Jacob, I am currently a first year student at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. I am a dual degree student working on an MDDP in Electrical Engineering and Tenor Trombone Performance. I am originally from Kalamazoo Michigan where I attended Portage Central High School as well as the Kalamazoo Area Mathematics and Science Center (KAMSC). At KAMSC I conducted many research projects with my highlights being: investigating the impact of ripeness on the pigments in bananas, using engineering and physics to extend the range of a trombone, and building a thrust-vector-controlled rocket. I also attended many High School Programming Competitions (HSPCs) throughout high school, placing top 5 in the majority of them.

I do not currently have any teaching experience asides from helping friends with math and computer science homework, but I believe I can be a great tutor and fine-tune my teaching style to meet your needs! I feel comfortable tutoring math up to calculus 2, computer science, and music theory. I genuinely enjoy doing each of these topics and hope to be able to spread my love of these subjects to my students and show them just how special it can be.
