"I love sharing electrical technology using terminology and concepts already familiar to the student. Complex subjects may often be broken down into simpler, easier to understand parts or analogies. I encourage students to ask questions, because in real life, the question is the most important problem solving tool we have. No question is too simple. The simplest questions may lead to the deepest insights! I have worked with middle school, high school, and college students as well as professionals and laymen.
I have a Masters from the University of Michigan and an Electrical Engineering degree from Brigham Young University. I have 20+ years experience in integrated circuit design and analysis, specifically with analog and analog/digital hybrid technology. As such I deal with direct current (DC), alternating current (AC), audio frequency, and radio frequency (RF) applications and analysis. I am knowledgeable in semiconductor device structures such as bipolar transistors (BJT) and metal-oxide-semiconductor devices (MOS). My work also includes design of printed circuit boards, selection of electrical components, knowledge of test equipment and semiconductor processes. I have worked with the digital design basics such as boolean logic and state machine design.
All students want to succeed and I want to help them! Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson." less...
