"For the past 7 years, I have worked with elementary aged students. I have not only tutored them, but I have also worked to help them build confidence in themselves and their abilities. I am a well rounded individual. I am an art teacher, an animal lover, a healthy food preparer, and an outdoor enthusiast. I love to read, weave, hike and spend time with kids. I have been gifted with the ability to work well with children and animals. For some reason, both have always been drawn to me. I do my best to use my gift for good. Last school year, I worked with a non-profit in a low performing school. I tutored and mentored children who were at-risk, ESL, dyslexic, Autistic, SPED, and emotionally disturbed. That was the best job I have ever had. I had the privilege of working in the classroom and after school to tutor and mentor these children.
