"I am an elementary and special education teacher with a deep commitment to helping students succeed. Over the past 15 years, I have taught elementary grades, designing engaging, standards aligned lessons that support academic growth and social emotional development. I find great satisfaction in witnessing students gain confidence and mastery, and I prioritize creating inclusive, student centered learning environments where every child can thrive.

In addition to classroom teaching, I have extensive experience in special education both as a teacher and as a resource teacher supporting colleagues. I work closely with classroom teachers to identify effective strategies and accommodations for students who are struggling, helping to differentiate instruction and promote access to the general curriculum. My collaborative approach emphasizes practical, research based techniques that teachers can implement immediately.

I am experienced in writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participating in multidisciplinary meetings focused on meeting each student’s unique needs. I also teach special education content at a local university, where I cover special education law, assessment, and instructional best practices. This combination of K–12 and higher education experience gives me a thorough understanding of special education processes and the ability to translate policy into classroom practice.

Beyond direct instruction, I have led professional development sessions and presented instructional strategies to student teachers and in service educators to improve engagement and outcomes for diverse learners.
