"Hi, I'm Kayla- a certified elementary teacher with a passion for helping students build confidence and mastery in the classroom. I am entering my fourth year teaching, and throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of learners from various backgrounds.

I am a certified elementary teacher in the state of Florida with a bachelor's degree from The University of West Florida. I have experience with differentiated instruction, gifted education, and accommodations for exceptional student education.

Over the past three years I have taught fifth grade math, science, reading, and writing, as well as first grade all subjects.

I have supported gifted learners, students with ESE needs, English language learners (ESOL), and students who are performing both above and below grade level.

My approach blends structure with encouragement - I focus on building foundational understanding, reinforcing study skills, and boosting academic confidence in a way that is tailored to each child's needs.

I offer one-on-one tutoring in reading, math, writing, and science, support with homework, test prep, gaps, or enrichment, and I have experience working with children ages 5-14.

I believe every child is capable of success with the right support. Tutoring allows me to work closely with students to meet them where they are, guide them at their own pace, and celebrate their progress every step of the way.
