"I have worked in elementary education for 19 years and hold a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I have experience working with students grades pre-k to 6. My favorite part of working in education is the connections I have made with my students and their families. Tutoring for me, is about supporting students on their educational journeys and fostering a love of learning.

During my time in education, I have had the privilege of working in multiple school districts and in both urban and suburban settings. I have extensive experience working with EL students and special education students. I am excited with the opportunity to personalize my instruction in a tutoring setting.

I have taught math at the elementary level for over a decade. I have been trained in a variety math programs and interventions and am well versed with the common core. I enjoy making math fun and like to adapt my lessons to incorporate students’ areas of interest.

I love reading! Teaching reading and writing has been my favorite part of teaching elementary school. I like to make my lessons interesting and relatable to my students. My goal is to get my students excited about reading and literacy. I also like to incorporate popular authors and topics of interest into my lessons and activities. I have taught reading at multiple grade levels and am well versed in guided reading and reading interventions.
