"Hello! My name is Daneisha S. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. I have a valid Teaching Certification along with being ESL certified. This is currently my 23rd year in elementary education. I have experience teaching students ages 5-10 years old in Special Education, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and as a Math Interventionist. I have taught all subject areas (Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies). I specialize in mathematics. I help students understand core concepts, develop problem-solving strategies, and gain confidence with numbers. Most importantly, I aim to help students feel proud of their progress and comfortable asking questions. In addition to teaching in the public school system, I have also tutored students for the last 10 years.

I’m passionate about helping elementary students build strong academic skills while also developing confidence and a love for learning. My tutoring approach is fun, engaging, and tailored to each child’s unique learning style. I believe children learn best when they feel encouraged and enjoy the process, so sessions will include warm up/reviews, fluency practice, hands-on activities, games, and creative challenges that will make learning feel exciting rather than overwhelming.
