As a team leader, I coached, trained, motivated and developed my team members to become successful GM Managers and Executives. I have a bachelors degree in Business Finance from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and an executive education certificate in negotiations from Harvard University.

While in college I tutored students in the Business department in Finance and Accounting. I have been tutoring math online for a tutor platform for 6 months at the elementary school level. I feel that my diverse background and experiences have allowed me to connect with and get my students excited and more confident about math. I use several tools like drawings, number mats, and tens and ones blocks to demonstrate each math concept in a simple manner. I break down problems into smaller numbers and simple steps to highlight the cumulative principles of math and stress visualization of each concept. I use real world examples to connect with students often using coins and dollar bills in addition and subtraction. I believe the best results are produced when students combine a thorough understanding of math concepts with some old fashioned repetition and memorization. I emphasize with my kids how math has helped me succeed in life and how being great at math will allow them to have exciting successful lives! I am an avid sports and music fan and enjoy the outdoors. I often use those interests to relate to my students. I stress to my kids that math is consistent and reliable!
