"I have worked as a tutor since 2014. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor's in Biochemistry. I went on to earn my doctoral medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. I am currently a pediatric resident physician in Florida.

Over the last ten years, I have done private tutoring for 50+ students in Chemistry, Elementary Math, Pre-algebra, and Algebra as well as group tutoring. My students range from elementary school to college students. I have taken AP Chemistry (scoring 5/5) and IB HL Chemistry (scoring 6/7).

With some students shifting to virtual school during the pandemic, it highlighted the importance of having individualized attention to review material. It can be challenging to learn new concepts and feel confident when the student is one of many in a classroom. My goal is to provide my students with an individualized approach to learning and answer any questions or concerns they may have about their schoolwork. My previous students commented on my thorough understanding of content, helpful explanations, individualized study techniques, and tendency to make complicated problems seem easy. To monitor progress and check for comprehension during our session, I create my own questions that are similar to the homework problems and practice problems in the student's textbook. I ask the student to answer this question on their own and use their responses to assess the student's understanding of the concept.
