"Hi, I am Jane. I have been teaching elementary and middle grades for 25 years. I have taught all subjects, but my favorites are ELA and SS. I earned my Doctor of Education in Teacher Leadership in 2011. I am certified in gifted and talented education, which was my most recent teaching experience. I also taught RTI (Response to Intervention), which is working with small groups of students in grades K-5 who are struggling in reading and math. I also have experience as a Virtual Educator for fifth-grade students.

My goal is to make learning an enjoyable experience and to help every child feel successful. If a student is struggling to pass or needs a little extra boost of confidence, I use a variety of tools to help them achieve their goal. Introducing the topic, explaining exactly what we will be learning, and staying focused on the subject will help a child better understand the subject. Repetition and practice are the best ways to help a student learn.
