"Hello! Educating young children is my passion! I began my career teaching in 1988. The bulk of those years I taught 5th grade ELA and social studies. Currently, I am an Instructional Coordinator at an elementary school. My two children are in college. I have used Wyzant to find a tutor to help them and have seen first hand the difference one-on-one tutoring can make.

I was a classroom teacher for 24 years before becoming an administrator. English Language Arts in the elementary grades is my specialty area. Many times a child just needs that extra boost of confidence to help them soar and become a reader.

Being an Instructional Coordinator has given me the unique opportunity to be a part of the trainings that the teachers attend. This specialized training in phonics will enable me to help a child.
