"Hello! I am a fourth grade elementary teacher with over four years of experience teaching in two different states, educating students from two years old to fifth grade. I currently work as an English Language Arts and Reading teacher, but I have experience teaching all core elementary school subjects. I have my Texas teaching license in General and Special Education as well as an English as A Second Language Supplemental Certificate. I enjoy teaching students of varying skill levels and am willing to be flexible in terms of scheduling tutoring sessions.

For as long as I can remember, I have been an English geek. I have always loved to read and write, and I am eager to cultivate this love in students. I believe that reading and writing are essential skills for success in school and career. These skills need to be developed early on so students feel comfortable and confident in their abilities. At the university level I have aced two courses on teaching reading and other English skills which have helped me turn my passion for English into a way to help others succeed.

I have an intense love for English, reading, and writing, and I believe these skills are incredibly important for all students to master. The first step in learning to love reading is learning to read. Phonics is a great way for students to learn to read, write, and become comfortable with our language system. It is crucial that students master these skills early on and I am eager to do just that in a way that is meaningful and effective for every student.
