"Hi! My name is Cameron, and I am originally from a small, rural town in southwest Louisiana, so I have taken large leaps from my upbringing and have a clear capacity to not only succeed but help others do the same. I am currently a Ph.D. student at Emory University in the Biochemistry, Cell and Developmental Biology program. My current thesis work focuses on applying Computational Biology and Biostatistics approaches to study cancer genetics. All my thesis work applies the use of the R programming language and statistics, as well as advanced knowledge in biochemistry and human genetics. I also have a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan, having graduated in 2022.
I am in my 4th year of my Ph.D. program, and I have had the pleasure of teaching multiple graduate and undergraduate courses at Emory University so far. I have taught 2 different biostatistics and coding courses for ~50 graduate students per class. My students always say they enjoy the teaching and can learn difficult concepts the best from me! I pride myself on understanding students and working until we both truly understand concepts, so I am also always learning with you.
With tutoring, I like to meet with students one-on-one and first establish a knowledge base of what you know or have learned and then what it is you want to learn. Whether you are preparing for a test or trying to catch up, I will help you! I have a lot of experience with the ACT, having done very well on it myself, and all different science, mathematics, and English language courses. I also have struggled my self in the academic setting, particularly in college. So I understand the highs and lows of learning and will work with you to meet your goals!" less...
