"Welcome to Rachna's Chemistry Corner where empathy meets individualized education. I have two major goals with every student I meet: break down difficult material according to their specific needs and imbue them with the confidence they need to succeed. There is NO SUCH THING as a bad student or a dumb question in my classroom.

I started teaching in 2013. Since then, I have taught High School Chemistry, AP Chemistry, College General Chemistry, Organic chemistry, Inorganic chemistry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Calc I (AB), Calc II (BC), Calc 3, ACT Math, ACT Science, SAT Math, PSAT, and GRE Math. I have taught each of these subjects 1:1 and in small group (2-6 student) settings. Additionally, I have taught college chemistry (general and organic) in groups of 20-30 students as well as lectures of 100+ students.

I have a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry with honors, a Master's of Science in Chemistry, and am currently working on my second Master's of Science in Cosmetic Science. I have won the Thomas B Cameron award for teaching excellence from the University of Cincinnati and the American Chemical Society Division of Inorganic Chemistry Award.

On a personal note, I have ADHD and general anxiety disorder. In other words, I fully understand what its like to go through high school, college, and graduate school with a learning disability and mental health struggles. I bring this personal experience into every interaction because I never want anyone to feel alone in school regardless of their struggles.
