I graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in Economics and full completion of pre-medical studies, and I recently completed my EMT course as the valedictorian of my class. I passed all course exams, my state practical exam, and the NREMT on my first attempt. Going through this process myself reinforced how intimidating EMT material can feel at first—and how much the right teacher can make the difference between a subject feeling impossible and everything suddenly making sense.
