"Hello! My name is Munirah A., and I’m a certified Middle Grades ELA teacher in North Carolina currently teaching grades 6–8. I was honored to be named Beginning Teacher of the Year at my school, and I’m deeply committed to helping students unlock their full potential in reading, writing, and critical thinking.

My students’ proficiency rates have doubled in just one academic year, thanks to a warm, structured, and culturally responsive teaching approach. I specialize in strengthening reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis. I also support test prep for EOG and other assessments.

I hold a Master’s in Adult Education from SUNY Buffalo State, and I’m currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at D’Youville University. I have more than 12 years of experience in education and youth development, including classroom teaching, afterschool program leadership, and 1:1 coaching.
