"Hello, and welcome! My name is Nicole, and I have 20 years teaching experience in Spanish, ELL/TOEFL, Anthropology, Sociology, History, Geography, and Proofreading. I have traveled and lived most of my life outside of America, although I'm a native English speaker. Therefore I have a unique cultural perspective in the acquisition of a language, as well as, a variety of subject matters. Owing to the fact of having learned three languages fluently and am currently studying a fourth one, I am extremely well-versed in language acquisition. It also provides me with a unique perspective when it comes to History, Geography, Anthropology and Sociology.

My level of proficiency as an educator is with children as young as kindergarteners to adults, My lessons are centered around the use of humor, utilization of realia, Total Physical Response, cultural aspects of the subject being taught, and, in addition, real-word examples for each topic.

What inspires me to work as a teacher is the joy of a student once he/she/they has correctly mastered a new concept; and she/he/they being able to feel completely competent in the subject.

Additionally, I hold a TEFL certificate from Trinity College Cambridge, England, with both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Spanish and Intercultural Communications (=cultural anthropology).
